Chapter VII : Unholy Ghost - Where sister Monica meets the ghost of lust and dies from a heart attack in her sleep.
lyrics
The Unholy Ghost
(Lyrics by C. Glantz)
On misty mountain heights
Seized with ruthless frost
On virgin ground untouched by man
Dwells some skinny ghost
Some say he's pretty scary
Some say he's pretty wild
But every girl he's ever met
Is waiting for a child
You'd better check your locks and shutters
You'd better wake the guards from sleep
Cause no one knows the way it happens
He leaves no tip
Some guys say they would kill him
But they don't have much time
They get too busy every night
With their neighbor's wives
As soon as they come home
To meet their only dear
They meet her crying in her bed
"My love, the ghost was here!"
You'd better check your locks and shutters
You'd better wake the guards from sleep
Cause when you've got to pay for dippers
He leaves no tip
(The Ghost): "Do you still hear me?"
(Monica): "I'm only dreaming."
(The Ghost): "Do you still fear me?
Do you still feel me?"
(Monica): "I'm only dreaming..."
(The Ghost): "Do you still thrill me?"
(Monica): "I'm only dreaming, dreaming, dreaming!"
I bought the album on vinyl basically just to have the EP on physical format, I'll be honest.
This is not to say the album is bad (it is absolutely amazing) but the EP blew me away and is honestly one of the best and most versatile albums I've listened to in a while and the vocals are just insanely good.
If you like ExLibris you'll love this band too, no doubt thebluemeanie
This is the first progressive metal album I've loved in quite some time. Phenomenal songwriting, instrumental virtuosity, and stellar vocal performances make this one of the most unique and strongest releases of 2020. Holdeneye
The Australian instrumental band juxtapose classical pianos and ambient swells with uncompromising, proggy post-metal. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 9, 2023
This Austin group stitches together the synthesized sounds of the '80s & '90s with '00s indie & '70s AM gold, all under glitchy electronics. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 26, 2018
Absolutely hooked on this album from first listen. How rare is that with prog!??? Excellent songwriting and musicianship. Can’t wait to dive into the rest of the collection. Thomas Lock
