about
Chapter III : Quicksand Lies - Where sister Monica finds out 'bout the sacrifice of brother Bin and goes insane.
lyrics
Quicksand Lies
(Lyrics by C. Glantz)
Centuries are falling like leaves
We drink each others blood
For gods above us
Is it fare enough
To sing 'bout love
With a blade that's hidden in your hand
Oh, heaven sent
Saviors are running like thieves
To save their skin
From a war machine they'd raised up
Did they learned this dance
With a gunner Hans
Step outside - you're dead from ricochet
In a barb-wired set
So if we close our ears
Shell we hear the voice of reason
If we bite our lips
Shell we hold our appetites
Cause when some "war for love"
Turns "love for war",
We're dying fish on sandy shore
Of quicksand lies
Dry fragile leaves on a crimson ground
Brown whirlpool, black snowfall
We're carried off by autumn winds
And when the thunder comes to die
We're hoping, we're praying
To reach the never coming spring

I bought the album on vinyl basically just to have the EP on physical format, I'll be honest.
This is not to say the album is bad (it is absolutely amazing) but the EP blew me away and is honestly one of the best and most versatile albums I've listened to in a while and the vocals are just insanely good.
If you like ExLibris you'll love this band too, no doubt thebluemeanie

This is the first progressive metal album I've loved in quite some time. Phenomenal songwriting, instrumental virtuosity, and stellar vocal performances make this one of the most unique and strongest releases of 2020. Holdeneye
The Australian instrumental band juxtapose classical pianos and ambient swells with uncompromising, proggy post-metal. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 9, 2023
This Austin group stitches together the synthesized sounds of the '80s & '90s with '00s indie & '70s AM gold, all under glitchy electronics. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 26, 2018

Absolutely hooked on this album from first listen. How rare is that with prog!??? Excellent songwriting and musicianship. Can’t wait to dive into the rest of the collection. Thomas Lock
