lyrics
Splinter
(Lyrics by C. Glantz)
(Monica): "I'm crying out my eyes
You're pulling at my strings
Rag doll without disguise
From you and your crazy schemes"
(The Demon): "Air of your lungs, script of your dreams
I'm everywhere, more then it seems
A smile that you wear
Sorrow you bear
A glimpse through despair"
(Monica): "Don't wanna see your eyes on my wall
Twisted and tossed emotions of total recall
Temptation come undone
On wings of agony
Black holes on frozen sun
Eyes of destiny"
(The Demon): "Air of your lungs, script of your dreams
I'm everywhere, more then it seems
A smile that you wear
Sorrow you bear
A glimpse through despair"
(Monica): "Don't wanna see your writings on my wall
Twisted and tossed emotions of total recall
Don't wanna feel your needles in my head
Changing my skin, no more your favorite pet
Demons in my head
Witches in your bed
Parallels of fate
Links of love and hate
We get what we earn
On the point of no return
Throw away my key
Leave my soul to me
I'm not your anguish, i'm not your joy
No more your captive, no exclusive toy
You're the fifth of my wheels, stone in my shoes
Splinter of soul, apple to seduce
Feeling your thorns under my skin
You're reading my thoughts, trap me to extremes
It scares me to laugh, no answer, no clue
Why deep down inside i really need you!?"
I bought the album on vinyl basically just to have the EP on physical format, I'll be honest.
This is not to say the album is bad (it is absolutely amazing) but the EP blew me away and is honestly one of the best and most versatile albums I've listened to in a while and the vocals are just insanely good.
If you like ExLibris you'll love this band too, no doubt thebluemeanie
This is the first progressive metal album I've loved in quite some time. Phenomenal songwriting, instrumental virtuosity, and stellar vocal performances make this one of the most unique and strongest releases of 2020. Holdeneye
The Australian instrumental band juxtapose classical pianos and ambient swells with uncompromising, proggy post-metal. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 9, 2023
This Austin group stitches together the synthesized sounds of the '80s & '90s with '00s indie & '70s AM gold, all under glitchy electronics. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 26, 2018
Absolutely hooked on this album from first listen. How rare is that with prog!??? Excellent songwriting and musicianship. Can’t wait to dive into the rest of the collection. Thomas Lock
