lyrics
These are the last days of Rome
Barbarians stand in your hall
You don't really care anyway
You have sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll
These are the last days of Rome
Barbarians are already here
Joining your funeral party
With fireworks, popcorn and cheer
They will laugh at your stupid ideas
While the flames get in, higher and higher
And you'll preach them to make love, not war
While your bottom is caught up on fire
Cause these are the last days of Rome
And Barbarians are taking your home
They came here to teach you with a knife
They came to make love to your wife
These are the last days of Rome
And barbarians are having much fun
Oh, they like how you lick up their boots
Now your liberty dream is finally done

I bought the album on vinyl basically just to have the EP on physical format, I'll be honest.
This is not to say the album is bad (it is absolutely amazing) but the EP blew me away and is honestly one of the best and most versatile albums I've listened to in a while and the vocals are just insanely good.
If you like ExLibris you'll love this band too, no doubt thebluemeanie

This is the first progressive metal album I've loved in quite some time. Phenomenal songwriting, instrumental virtuosity, and stellar vocal performances make this one of the most unique and strongest releases of 2020. Holdeneye
The Australian instrumental band juxtapose classical pianos and ambient swells with uncompromising, proggy post-metal. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 9, 2023

If someone were to ask me why I love progressive rock, this album would be one of my examples. It's eclectic; it's beautiful; it's sufficiently complex; and its cover art is cool. Soul Doubt does one hell of a great job of reprising the album's themes and building atmosphere and emotion throughout the >100 minute affair. And the cherry on top of it all is that there are no middling or superfluous songs--which is impressive because double albums usually have some amount of filler.
Magnifico!
